Dear Les,
I run a charity organization that uses a high speed, 800 horse power 40 feet
navy seal boat as an outreach ministry to men. I take men, pastors and
sometimes there families on open ocean adventures that they would not
otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy. We needed a dingy that was light
enough to pull up on deck or a beach on a remote island, stable and fast. As
an avid boater, I have owned or operated every kind of tender out there.
Our last one was a 9'6" inflatable keel dingy. The problem with it was with
a 9.8 four stroke (which is less that it is rated for) made it too stern
heavy. The final straw came when my 63 year old father flipped it with the
engine running after dropping off a load at the dock. The day we got back I
started really looking into replacing our new mono hull with the AMI Cat. I
am so glad I did! I cannot say enough good things about this 10 foot
300XL. I can put 6 adults and 3 kids in it and not worry about it tipping.
The stability is unmatched by far from anything I have ever had. It glides
through the water and turns on a dime forward and in reverse. I love to take
someone out on it and turn it at full speed- if they don't hold on tight
they will get thrown out. It seems to have twice the room than most tenders
it's size because of it's width and the way it is shaped in the front. The
overall quality of workmanship is superb.
I highly recommend this dingy!
sincerely,
