If I had my choice, life would be spent sailing... Lou Reed said it best:

"I wish that I was born a thousand years ago
I wish that I’d sailed the darkened seas
On a great big clipper ship
Going from this land here to that
I put on a sailor’s suit and cap"
 

When I get the time, sailing is what I do. In my youth I sailed a Hobie 16 in Hawaii, then purchased a 10' home built pram, sailed the Willamette and Columbia rivers, Hood Canal and Budd inlet. Upgraded to an 18' US marine Buccaneer, later I graduated to a Corsair trimaran, which I sailed all over the Northwest. Many boats and adventures later I became the dealer for Corsair Marine in Oregon. Later I joined HCH Marine, then  Marine Servicenter of Seattle.

I made a living on sailboats for 20 years. Delivery, racing, brokerage and skippering pleasure cruise vessels.
