Yachts, Inc. To Whom it May Concern: This letter is written for the specific purpose of recommending Les Valsquier to anyone looking for a retail associate in the marine industry. I have known Les for over a decade. When we met, we were the CORSAIR dealer for the NW, and had our offices in Seattle. Les, an active and ardent sailor, contacted me and said he wanted to start a career in the marine industry by representing our lines in Oregon. If you are in the industry, then you know that good people are rarely found. However, hiring Les was one of my best moves. Les subsequently brought the Corsair trimarans to Oregon, and worked hard towards the wide acceptance of these boats as the performance standard. Over the next few months, he successfully represented our other lines as well. As our Oregon rep., he showed great self motivational and marketing skills. He organized demo events, handled advertising, maintained his own books, ran sailing clinics, and sold numerous boats. He did all of this with minimal direction. After moving to Seattle he joined the main Marine Servicenter office on Lake Union. He continued to sell a variety of sailboats, new and used, with success. But most importantly, he generated a faithful clientele from these sales who would who came back to him, and him alone, for further purchases. Through his hard work, honesty, and good nature, Les learned how to develop a happy client into a returning source of income for the company. Les has clearly proven himself to be a master yacht broker. Whether searching the classifieds for new listings, thinking of new and pioneering ways to market a product, or looking for the next breakthrough concept, I feel that Les can do it all. Were I to come out or retirement and start a new sales company, Les would be the first guy I would call to join me. I strongly recommend Les as for any position in sales, or in the recreational marine industry. Please feel free to contact me directly. Sincerely yours, John E. Carson
